The Job Process for Sealing the Envelope of a Structure

The SPF is sprayed to an open surface. Since the material will expand by 100 times its initial application the surface must be open on one side to allow for expansion.

The first step will be to seal all cracks and joints. We will seal around all windows and doors with a low expansion foam and caulk will be applied to sill plates.

We then cover all windows, doors, and other valuable items with plastic to ensure that they are not damaged by overspray.

The foam is sprayed by one of our certified applicators.

Within fifteen seconds of spraying, the insulation completes its expansion into all gaps in the substrate and is nearly entirely cured.

Shortly thereafter our crew will shave insulation back to allow for proper drywall installation (if necessary).

All scrap is cleaned up and taken away as is the masking materials on the windows and doors.

Overall, a typical new home installation takes 2-3 days
